บทคัดย่อ

ตราสัญลักษณ์เป็นสัญญะสำหรับการสื่อสารสร้างความเข้าใจระหว่างผู้ส่งสารและผู้รับสารอย่างมี นัยยะประสงค์ ตราสัญลักษณ์มีบทบาทสำคัญต่อสถาบันพระมหากษัตริย์ของไทย ตั้งแต่อดีตจนถึงปัจจุบัน ในรัชสมัยรัชกาลที่ 5 เริ่มมีการสร้างตราสัญลักษณ์สำหรับงานพระราชพิธีเฉลิมพระเกียรติในวาระโอกาสพิเศษต่างๆ และเป็นธรรมเนียม ประเพณีมาถึงรัชกาลปัจจุบัน โดยทั่วไปการสรรหาแบบตราสัญลักษณ์เฉลิมพระเกียรติมีอยู่ 2 วิธีการคือ วิธีการมอบหมายให้ผู้เชี่ยวชาญเป็นผู้ออกแบบกับวิธีการจัดการประกวดเพื่อนำขึ้นขอพระราชทานพระบรมราชวินิจฉัยและพระราชทานเป็นตราสัญลักษณ์สำหรับงานพระราชพิธีมหามงคลเฉลิมพระเกียรติฯในวาระพิเศษต่างๆ เหล่านั้น วิธีการออกแบบตราสัญลักษณ์เริ่มแรกผู้ออกแบบต้องรู้กรอบแนว ความคิดหลัก Concept) ของตราสัญลักษณ์ มีการออกแบบภาพร่าง และมีการสร้างสรรค์ผลงานจริงที่สมบรูณ์ถูกต้องเป็นขั้นตอนสุดท้าย ตราสัญลักษณ์ที่ดีควรมีความงดงามตามหลักสุนทรียภาพ มีความง่าย ชัดเจนสอดคล้องกับวิถีวัฒนธรรม และจารีตประเพณีของสังคมนั้นๆ

ตราสัญลักษณ์ “พระราชพิธีมหามงคลเฉลิมพระชนมพรรษา 7 รอบ 5 ธันวาคม 2557” เป็นสัญญะที่สื่อสารถึงความรักความเมตตาของพระบาทสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัวกับเหล่าปวงชนชาวไทย ในขณะเดียวกัน ก็เป็นสัญญะที่แสดงออกถึงความปิติยินดี ความจงรักภักดี ความศรัทธาเทิดทูนเคารพบูชาจากเหล่าอาณาประชาราษฎร์ ถวายแด่องค์พระบาทสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัวตราสัญลักษณ์จึงเป็นพลวัตสัญญะ ซึ่งขับเคลื่อนเพื่อสถิตในใจชาวประชาอยู่ตลอดเวลา

Symbolic emblem is a sign for building understanding between a sender and a receiver, both significantly and purposely. It plays a role in Thai monarchy from the old time to the present. In the reign of King Rama 5, symbolic emblem was initiated for the royal function of the honored celebration and several special occasions. This tradition has been practiced until now. In general, designing a symbolic emblem for the royal celebration can be done in two ways: 1) to assign an expert on design of royal emblem and 2) to hold a contest of designing a royal emblem and to subsequently present to the King to take into consideration. In designing a royal emblem, a designer is first required to understand the concept of a royal emblem. Secondly, the designer sketches the emblem. Lastly, the emblem is created in according to the perfect and correct way. A good royal emblem should contain estheticism and simplicity to suit the customs and traditions of the society.

The royal emblem of “The Celebration on the Auspicious Occasion of His Majesty the King’s 7th Cycle Birthday Anniversary, 5th December 2011” represents His Majesty the King’s love and kindness towards Thai citizens. At the same time, it shows the delight, royalty, faith, respect and veneration of Thai subjects to His Majesty the King. A symbolic emblem is a dynamic sign driving Thai people’s hearts at all times.
