In a production process of sound adsorption sheet plasticizers must be added to improve the properties and stability of the PVC. The plasticzers uded are aromatic compounds that are carcinogenic suspecting agents. Furthermore, the utiliazation of PVC materials under thermal conditions or expose with ultraviolet light causes the degradation of PVC and releasing of toxic agents such as hydrochloric acid and pasticzers. Therefore, our group had studied the preparation of green composite from ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) and coconut coir for sound adsorption sheet applications. The prepared sheets are environmental friendly materials and will be applied to automotive and furniture industries.
