Factors affecting overseas students’decisions on advanced study in the International Undergraduate Program, in Bangkok Metropolitan Region

บทคัดย่อ

การศึกษาค้นคว้าอิสระนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาข้อมูลส่วนบุคคล ความต้องการส่วนบุคคลและศึกษาปัจจัยที่ใช้ในการตัดสินใจเลือกศึกษาต่อระดับอุดมศึกษาหลักสูตรนานาชาติของนักศึกษาชาวต่างชาติในเขตกรุงเทพมหานครและปริมณฑล พบว่าผู้ตอบแบบสอบถามส่วนใหญ่เป็นเพศชาย มีอายุ 21 ปีขึ้นไป นักศึกษาส่วนใหญ่มีภูมิลำเนาอยู่ในทวีปเอเชีย คณะที่นักศึกษาชาวต่างชาติเลือกศึกษามากที่สุดคือ คณะบริหารธุรกิจนักศึกษาส่วนใหญ่พักอาศัยที่หอพัก แหล่งเงินทุนที่นักศึกษาใช้ในการศึกษาคือทุนส่วนตัว ปัจจัยในการตัดสินใจของนักศึกษาชาวต่างชาติในการเลือกศึกษาต่อหลักสูตรนานาชาติ นักศึกษาชาวต่างชาติให้ความสำคัญกับปัจจัยความต้องการส่วนบุคคล คือ การวางแนวทางให้ตนเองพัฒนาไปสู่เป้าหมายในชีวิต การมีโอกาสได้พบเพื่อนใหม่ ๆ หลายเชื้อชาติ ต้องการหาประสบการณ์ในการดำเนินชีวิตในต่างแดน และต้องการประสบความสำเร็จในชีวิต ปัจจัยในการตัดสินใจด้านส่วนประสมทางการตลาดนักศึกษาชาวต่างชาติให้ความสำคัญกับการที่สามารถโอนหน่วยกิตไปยังมหาวิทยาลัยในต่างประเทศได้ บัณฑิตที่สำเร็จการศึกษาสามารถเข้าศึกษาต่อในระดับที่สูงขึ้นในมหาวิทยาลัยชั้นนำในต่างประเทศ ค่าใช้จ่ายมีความเหมาะสมกับหลักสูตร มีเว็บไซด์แจ้งข่าวสารการรับสมัคร/หลักสูตรที่เปิดสอน/ค่าใช้จ่าย มีระบบรักษาความปลอดภัยที่ดี มีการหยิบยกประเด็นในการสอนที่ทันสมัยทันเหตุการณ์มาอภิปรายในชั้นเรียน และมีโครงการศึกษาดูงานในต่างประเทศการวิเคราะห์เปรียบเทียบข้อมูลส่วนบุคคลกับความต้องการส่วนบุคคล พบว่า นักศึกษาชาวต่างชาติที่มี อายุ ภูมิลำเนา สถานที่พักอาศัย และเงินทุนในการศึกษาที่แตกต่างกันมีปัจจัยความต้องการส่วนบุคคลที่แตกต่างกันอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทาง สถิติที่ 0.05 นอกจากนี้นักศึกษาชาวต่างชาติที่มีเพศ อายุ ภูมิลำเนา คณะที่ศึกษา สถานที่พักอาศัย และเงินทุนในการศึกษาที่แตกต่างกันมีปัจจัยความต้องการด้านส่วนประสมทางการตลาดที่แตกต่างกันอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ 0.05

This study aimed to investigate the personal information, personal needs, and factors that affected overseas students’ decisions on advanced study in the International Undergraduate Program, in Bangkok Metropolitan Region. The results showed that most of the respondents were Asian male and aged more than 21 years old. The Business Administration was chosen to study by most of the respondents. They stayed in the dormitory and used their own money as a scholarship. With regard to factors that affected students’ decisions on advanced study in the International Undergraduate Program, it was found that they focused on personal needs included guidance to achieve their future goals, make friends with other nationalities, experience living abroad, and have a successful life in the future. The marketing mixed factors which overseas students focused on included transferring credit to overseas universities provided, when graduate, they will able to study at a higher level at famous overseas institutions, reasonable fee provided for all courses, online information (website) provided to inform enrollment, courses available, and fee, as well as good safety campus, contemporary issues raised in classes, and international study tour provided. When the personal factors were compared with the personal needs, it was found that the personal needs of overseas students, who had different ages, hometowns, accommodations, and capital for their education, were significantly different at 0.05. In addition, the overseas students, who had different genders, ages, hometowns, faculties, accommodations, and capital for their education, had significantly different needs on the marketing mixed factors at 0.05.
