Abstract
The research objectives were to: 1) design a game-based teaching technology course suitable for students and verify the effectiveness of student learning outcomes after game-based learning, 2) explore methods and techniques for enhancing student engagement and learning in human resource management classes, thereby accelerating the development of skilled human resource professionals for enterprises and supporting their long-term growth, and 3) contribute to the broader adoption of game-based teaching methodologies. The samples in this study were 64 students from two classes at Guangxi Peixian International Vocational College, China, selected through simple random sampling. The research instruments included a questionnaire survey, interviews, pre-test questionnaires for the human resource management major, and post-test questionnaires for the human resource management major.
The statistics used for data analysis were mean, standard deviation, score differences, squared score differences, and effectiveness index.
The results revealed that in the human resource management major, the scores before and after implementing game-based teaching were drawn from two normal distributions, with the overall difference also being normally distributed. The average scores for game-based teaching in human resource management courses consisted of pre-test (76.68) and post-test (80.85), with a difference value of 142 and a squared difference value of 644.
